AP Forum: Career Planning + OPT Info Session
Hal Matthews (Associate Director for Global Careers, Duke University)
During this forum, Hal Matthews, Associate Director for Global Careers, will help students explore and prepare for the process of working in a globally-focused career.
A portion of the session will be dedicated to addressing questions related to US visa status and employment regulations, including OPT (for F-1 students) and AT (for J-1 students).
EAS-AM and CAH students are strongly encouraged to attend; the session is also open to Duke graduate students in related fields.

About the speaker:
Hal Matthews (he/him) is committed to supporting Duke’s global community. At the Duke Career Hub, he develops programming and resources to enhance career readiness for international students, DKU students at Duke, and students interested in career opportunities beyond the USA. He collaborates closely with the Duke International Student Center, Duke Visa Services, and other global offices on campus to develop expertise in the specific career needs of international students.
