During this informational session, students will learn about Institutional Review Board (IRB) process at Duke, including why and when IRB review is necessary, timelines, and advice about how to prepare and submit a solid research plan.
First-year East Asian Studies MA students are required to attend this session; Duke graduate students in related fields are welcome to join!
Duke IRB approval is necessary for all research involving human subjects. Documentation of IRB approval is also required for APSI funding for research projects conducted by graduate students and undergraduate students.
