The Institute for Critical Theory, Marxism & Society program, the Program in Literature, and the Duke University departments of Cultural Anthropology, Asian & Middle Eastern Studies, and Romance Studies, have organized a guided discussion of Harry Harootunian's new book, Archaism and Actuality: Japan in the Global Fascist Imaginary (Chapter 1 & 2).
