Award-winning journalist Min Zhang (张敏), who holds a master's degree from Beijing Broadcasting Institute (now the Communication University of China), has been with Radio Free Asia for almost two decades. She hosts a popular program called "Journey of the Soul" (心灵之旅), which features in-depth interviews with some of the most prominent writers, poets, public intellectuals, dissidents, and human rights activists in contemporary China.
Zhang was formerly an editor and journalist with Central People's Broadcasting Station, the official radio station in China, before going into exile following the Tiananmen Massacre of 1989. She is the recipient of two Gracie Allen Awards given by the Alliance for Women in Media and the New York Festivals International Radio Programs Award, among others.
