Duke students expand their academic horizons in Hawai‘i with support from APSI

APSI is committed to providing opportunities enabling students to participate in academic discourse beyond the classroom. To this end, graduate and undergraduate students needing support to present their research at academic conferences can apply for travel grants from APSI.

Their panel, “Transcending Normativity: Media and Gender,” examined the intersection of gender and media across East Asia. Their experience reflects the importance of forging connections—across disciplines, cultures, and oceans.
